WOLF HUNT INCENTIVE PROGRAM

 

In an effort to support population control efforts and to further the public interest in regards to predatory wildlife, the County of Northern Lights Council has approved a Wolf Hunt Incentive Program Policy.  Through this program, registrants will receive a monetary reward for the pelt or carcass of a wolf hunted lawfully within the County.  Interested County residents must pre-register with Terry Schamehorn, Agriculture Fieldman at the County Office in Manning.  At time of registration, participants will be given a copy of the County Wolf Hunt Incentive Program Policy and asked to sign a hold harmless agreement.

SNOW FLAG PROGRAM

The County of Northern Lights offers plowing of your driveway up to 400 meters. The fee is $30 for regular residents,  $10 for seniors (or disabled, or have medical condition whom have received approval by the CAO). The flag will indicate that your driveway is to be plowed. Flags can be purchased at: UFA in Grimshaw & Peace River, Dixonville Country Mall, Deadwood Daze and Millennium Cabins and the County office. For more information call 780-836-3348.
